Going cold turkey

03/02/2012. One week on from the end of the tour, we’re just about recovered and already itching to get out and play again. We had a great time, playing shows in 13 cities across the country in 17 days, clocking up some 2000 miles along the way. All the gigs were fantastic, but a special shout must go to Swansea, Cambridge, Sheffield, Manchester and York, which were outstanding!

Special thanks goes out to everyone who was involved at all the venues – sound engineers, lampies, bar staff, promoters, everyone… we made some great new friends along the way! But most of all, thanks to all of you who turned out from your lovely warm homes to brave the cold in the middle of January in a recession to show your support and come and see us! Without you there would be no point to any of it. You guys Rock! Thank you.

We’ll be updating the site in the coming days and weeks with photos and more video footage from the tour, so watch this space.

A wise man once said “real life hits you a little like walking through a plate glass window,” and he’s not kidding. We’re climbing the walls here at MRHQ and miss being on the road… We’re already working on plans to be back out there and play for you guys again as soon as possible. And as ever we’ll keep you posted with all the latest news right here at morpheusrising.co.uk.

The Final Countdown…

11/01/2012. It’s almost time for the off, and we though it would be fun to keep a tour diary on the website as the tour progresses, so we’ll be adding a Blog page to the site over the next couple of days.

Final rehearsals were completed last weekend, and we’ve had a few days to take a break. Si has been off in the Seychelles on his yacht, and Pete’s been rewiring the studio at his Dacha just outside St Petersburg. Not…

We’ve been busy putting the final preparations in place for the tour, taking delivery of the new T shirts, restringing and prepping guitars, ordering strings, sticks and Gaffa tape, putting air in the tyres and fuel in the tank. Gibbo’s even getting some new cymbals! We’re as ready as can be and raring to go.
